And Jacob  begat Joseph  the husband  of Mary,  of whom was born Jesus,  who is called Christ
So all the generations from Abraham  to David  are fourteen generations; and from David  until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ  are fourteen generations.
Now the birth  of Jesus  Christ  was on this wise:  When as his mother  Mary  was espoused to Joseph,  before they came together, she was found with child  of the Holy  Ghost   Matthew 1:16-18

Then cometh Jesus  from Galilee to Jordan unto John,  to be baptized  of him.

Then the devil  leaveth him, and, behold, angels  came and ministered unto him.
Now when Jesus  had heard  that John  was cast into prison,  he departed  into Galilee;
And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea  coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:
That it might be fulfilled which was spoken  by Esaias the prophet,  saying,
The land  of Zabulon, and the land  of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea,  beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles

Jesus  answered  and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh  of this water  shall thirst  again:

So Jesus  came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water  wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick  at Capernaum.
When he heard  that Jesus  was come out of Judaea into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point  of death

Afterward Jesus  findeth  him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin  no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.
The man departed,  and told the Jews that it was Jesus,  which had made him whole.
And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus,  and sought to slay  him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day
But Jesus  answered  them, My Father  worketh hitherto, and I work.
Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill  him, because he not only had broken  the sabbath, but said also that God  was his Father,  making himself equal with God
Then answered  Jesus  and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing  of himself, but what he seeth the Father  do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.   John 5:13-19

After these things Jesus  went over the sea  of Galilee, which is the sea  of Tiberias.

And when even was now come, his disciples  went down unto the sea
And entered  into a ship, and went over the sea  toward Capernaum. And it was now dark,  and Jesus  was not come to them.
And the sea  arose by reason  of a great wind  that blew.
So when they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they see Jesus  walking  on the sea,  and drawing nigh unto the ship: and they were afraid   John 6:14-19

The day  following, when the people  which stood on the other side of the sea  saw that there was none other boat  there, save  that one whereinto his disciples  were entered,  and that Jesus  went not with his disciples  into the boat,  but that his disciples  were gone away alone
(Howbeit there came other boats  from Tiberias nigh unto the place where they did eat bread,  after that the Lord   had given thanks:)
When the people  therefore saw that Jesus  was not there, neither his disciples,  they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus
And when they had found him on the other side of the sea,  they said unto him, Rabbi, when camest thou hither?
Jesus  answered  them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles,  but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.   John 6:22-26

Jesus  answered  and said unto them, This is the work of God,  that ye believe  on him whom he hath sent.   John 6:29

Then Jesus  said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread  from heaven;  but my Father  giveth you the true bread  from heaven   John 6:32

And Jesus  said unto them, I am the bread  of life:  he that cometh to me shall never  hunger; and he that believeth  on me shall never  thirst   John 6:35

And they said, Is not this Jesus,  the son of Joseph,  whose father  and mother  we know?  how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven
Jesus  therefore answered  and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves.   John 6:42, 43

Then Jesus  said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh  of the Son of man, and drink  his blood,  ye have no life  in you.   John 6:53

When Jesus  knew in himself that his disciples  murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend  you?
What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?
It is the spirit  that quickeneth; the flesh  profiteth nothing:  the words  that I speak  unto you, they are spirit,  and they are life
But there are some of you that believe  not. For Jesus  knew from the beginning  who they were that believed  not, and who should betray  him.   John 6:61-64

Then said Jesus  unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?
Then Simon Peter answered  him, Lord ,  to whom shall we go? thou hast the words  of eternal  life
And we believe  and are sure that thou art that Christ,  the Son of the living  God
Jesus  answered  them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil
He spake  of Judas  Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray  him, being one of the twelve.   John 6:67-71

After these things Jesus  walked  in Galilee: for he would not walk  in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill  him.   John 7:1

Then Jesus  said unto them, My time  is not yet come: but your time  is alway ready   John 7:6

Now about the midst of the feast Jesus  went up into the temple, and taught.
And the Jews marvelled,  saying, How knoweth  this man letters, having never  learned
Jesus  answered  them, and said, My doctrine  is not mine, but his that sent me.   John 7:14-16

Jesus  answered  and said unto them, I have done one work, and ye all marvel   John 7:21

Then cried  Jesus  in the temple as he taught, saying, Ye both know  me, and ye know  whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know  not.   John 7:28

Then said Jesus  unto them, Yet a little while am I with you, and then I go unto him that sent me.   John 7:33

In the last day,  that great day  of the feast, Jesus  stood and cried,  saying, If any man thirst,  let him come unto me, and drink
He that believeth  on me, as the scripture  hath said, out of his belly  shall flow rivers  of living  water
(But this spake  he of the Spirit,  which they that believe  on him should receive:  for the Holy  Ghost  was not yet given; because that Jesus  was not yet glorified.)
Many of the people  therefore, when they heard  this saying, said, Of a truth  this is the Prophet   John 7:37-40

Nicodemus saith unto them, (he that came to Jesus  by night,  being one of them,)
Doth our law  judge any man, before it hear  him, and know  what he doeth?
They answered  and said unto him, Art thou also of Galilee? Search, and look: for out of Galilee ariseth no prophet   John 7:50-52

Jesus  went unto the mount of Olives   John 8:1

This they said, tempting  him, that they might have to accuse  him. But Jesus  stooped down, and with his finger  wrote on the ground, as though he heard  them not.   John 8:6

And they which heard  it, being convicted by their own conscience,  went out one by one, beginning  at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus  was left alone,  and the woman  standing in the midst.
When Jesus  had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman,  he said unto her, Woman,  where are those thine accusers?  hath no man condemned thee?
She said, No man, Lord .  And Jesus  said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin  no more.
Then spake  Jesus  again unto them, saying, I am the light  of the world:  he that followeth me shall not walk  in darkness,  but shall have the light  of life
The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true.
Jesus  answered  and said unto them, Though I bear  record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know  whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go.   John 8:9-14

Then said they unto him, Where is thy FatherJesus  answered,  Ye neither know  me, nor my Father:  if ye had known  me, ye should have known  my Father  also.
These words  spake  Jesus  in the treasury,  as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands  on him; for his hour was not yet come.
Then said Jesus  again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die  in your sins:  whither I go, ye cannot come.   John 8:19-21

Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus  saith unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning   John 8:25

Then said Jesus  unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know  that I am he, and that I do nothing  of myself; but as my Father  hath taught me, I speak  these things.   John 8:28

Then said Jesus  to those Jews which believed  on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples  indeed;
And ye shall know  the truth,  and the truth  shall make you free
They answered  him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never  in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free
Jesus  answered  them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin  is the servant  of sin   John 8:31-34

They answered  and said unto him, Abraham  is our fatherJesus  saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children,  ye would do the works of Abraham   John 8:39

Jesus  said unto them, If God  were your Father,  ye would love  me: for I proceeded  forth and came from God;  neither came I of myself, but he sent me.   John 8:42

Jesus  answered,  I have not a devil;  but I honour  my Father,  and ye do dishonour  me.   John 8:49

Jesus  answered,  If I honour  myself, my honour  is nothing:  it is my Father  that honoureth  me; of whom ye say, that he is your God
Yet ye have not known  him; but I know  him: and if I should say, I know  him not, I shall be a liar  like unto you: but I know  him, and keep his saying.   John 8:54, 55

Jesus  said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham  was, I am.
Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus  hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.   John 8:58, 59

And as Jesus  passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth
And his disciples  asked him, saying, Master, who did sin,  this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
Jesus  answered,  Neither hath this man sinned,  nor his parents: but that the works of God  should be made manifest in him.   John 9:1-3

He answered  and said, A man that is called Jesus  made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool  of Siloam, and wash:  and I went and washed,  and I received  sight.   John 9:11

And it was the sabbath day  when Jesus  made the clay, and opened  his eyes.   John 9:14

Jesus  heard  that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe  on the Son of God
He answered  and said, Who is he, Lord ,  that I might believe  on him?
And Jesus  said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh  with thee.
And he said, Lord ,  I believe.  And he worshipped  him.
And Jesus  said, For judgment I am come into this world,  that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.
And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard  these words,  and said unto him, Are we blind also?
Jesus  said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin:  but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin  remaineth.   John 9:35-41

This parable  spake  Jesus  unto them: but they understood  not what things they were which he spake  unto them.
Then said Jesus  unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door  of the sheep.   John 10:6, 7

And Jesus  walked  in the temple in Solomon's porch.
Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt?  If thou be the Christ,  tell us plainly.
Jesus  answered  them, I told you, and ye believed  not: the works that I do in my Father's name ,  they bear  witness  of me.   John 10:23-25

Jesus  answered  them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father;  for which of those works do ye stone me?
The Jews answered  him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God
Jesus  answered  them, Is it not written in your law,  I said, Ye are gods
If he called them gods,  unto whom the word of God  came, and the scripture  cannot be broken
Say ye of him, whom the Father  hath sanctified, and sent into the world,  Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God
If I do not the works of my Fatherbelieve  me not.   John 10:32-37

When Jesus  heard  that, he said, This sickness  is not unto death,  but for the glory  of God,  that the Son of God  might be glorified  thereby.
Now Jesus  loved  Martha, and her sister,  and Lazarus.   John 11:4, 5

Jesus  answered,  Are there not twelve hours in the day?  If any man walk  in the day,  he stumbleth  not, because he seeth the light  of this world   John 11:9

Howbeit Jesus  spake  of his death:  but they thought  that he had spoken  of taking of rest in sleep
Then said Jesus  unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead   John 11:13, 14

Then when Jesus  came, he found that he had lain in the grave four days  already.   John 11:17

Then Martha, as soon as she heard  that Jesus  was coming, went and met him: but Mary  sat still in the house
Then said Martha unto Jesus Lord ,  if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died
But I know,  that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of GodGod  will give it thee.
Jesus  saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.
Martha saith unto him, I know  that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day
Jesus  said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life:  he that believeth  in me, though he were dead,  yet shall he live:
And whosoever liveth and believeth  in me shall never  dieBelievest  thou this?
She saith unto him, Yea, Lord :  I believe  that thou art the Christ,  the Son of God,  which should come into the world   John 11:20-27

Now Jesus  was not yet come into the town, but was in that place where Martha met him.
The Jews then which were with her in the house,  and comforted her, when they saw Mary,  that she rose  up hastily and went out, followed her, saying, She goeth unto the grave to weep  there.
Then when Mary  was come where Jesus  was, and saw him, she fell  down at his feet,  saying unto him, Lord ,  if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died
When Jesus  therefore saw her weeping,  and the Jews also weeping  which came with her, he groaned in the spirit,  and was troubled
And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord ,  come and see.
Jesus  wept   John 11:30-35

Jesus  therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it.
Jesus  said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister  of him that was dead,  saith unto him, Lord ,  by this time  he stinketh: for he hath been dead  four days
Jesus  saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe,  thou shouldest see the glory  of God
Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead  was laid. And Jesus  lifted up his eyes, and said, Father,  I thank thee that thou hast heard  me.   John 11:38-41

And he that was dead  came forth, bound hand  and foot  with graveclothes: and his face  was bound about with a napkin. Jesus  saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.
Then many of the Jews which came to Mary,  and had seen the things which Jesus  did, believed  on him.
But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them what things Jesus  had done.   John 11:44-46

And this spake  he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus  should die  for that nation;
And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather  together in one the children  of God  that were scattered abroad.
Then from that day  forth they took counsel together for to put him to death
Jesus  therefore walked  no more openly  among the Jews; but went thence unto a country near to the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim, and there continued with his disciples
And the Jews' passover was nigh at hand:  and many went out of the country up to Jerusalem before the passover, to purify themselves.
Then sought they for Jesus,  and spake  among themselves, as they stood in the temple, What think ye, that he will not come to the feast?
Now both the chief priests and the Pharisees had given a commandment,  that, if any man knew where he were, he should shew it, that they might take him.   John 11:51-57

Then Jesus  six days  before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, which had been dead,  whom he raised from the dead
There they made him a supper; and Martha served:  but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him.
Then took Mary  a pound of ointment  of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet  of Jesus,  and wiped his feet  with her hair:  and the house  was filled with the odour of the ointment   John 12:1-3

Then said Jesus,  Let her alone:  against the day  of my burying hath she kept this.
For the poor  always ye have with you; but me ye have not always.
Much people  of the Jews therefore knew that he was there: and they came not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead
But the chief priests consulted  that they might put Lazarus also to death
Because that by reason  of him many of the Jews went away, and believed  on Jesus
On the next day  much people  that were come to the feast, when they heard  that Jesus  was coming to Jerusalem,
Took branches of palm trees,  and went forth to meet him, and cried,  Hosanna: Blessed  is the King  of Israel that cometh in the name   of the Lord
And Jesus,  when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,
Fear  not, daughter  of Sion: behold, thy King  cometh, sitting on an ass's colt.
These things understood  not his disciples  at the first: but when Jesus  was glorified,  then remembered  they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.   John 12:7-16

The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired  him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus
Philip cometh and telleth Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip tell Jesus
And Jesus  answered  them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified   John 12:21-23

Jesus  answered  and said, This voice  came not because of me, but for your sakes.   John 12:30

Then Jesus  said unto them, Yet a little while is the light  with you. Walk  while ye have the light,  lest darkness  come upon you: for he that walketh  in darkness  knoweth  not whither he goeth.
While ye have lightbelieve  in the light,  that ye may be the children  of light.  These things spake  Jesus,  and departed,  and did hide himself from them.   John 12:35, 36

Jesus  cried  and said, He that believeth  on me, believeth  not on me, but on him that sent me.   John 12:44

Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus  knew that his hour was come that he should depart  out of this world  unto the Father,  having loved  his own which were in the world,  he loved  them unto the end.
And supper being ended, the devil  having now put into the heart  of Judas  Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray  him;
Jesus  knowing  that the Father  had given all things into his hands,  and that he was come from God,  and went to God
He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments;  and took a towel,  and girded himself.   John 13:1-4

Jesus  answered  and said unto him, What I do thou knowest  not now; but thou shalt know  hereafter.
Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never  wash  my feetJesus  answered  him, If I wash  thee not, thou hast no part with me.
Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord ,  not my feet  only, but also my hands  and my head
Jesus  saith to him, He that is washed  needeth not save  to wash  his feet,  but is clean  every whit: and ye are clean,  but not all.   John 13:7-10

When Jesus  had thus said, he was troubled  in spirit,  and testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall betray  me.
Then the disciples  looked one on another, doubting  of whom he spake
Now there was leaning  on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples,  whom Jesus  loved
Simon Peter therefore beckoned  to him, that he should ask who it should be of whom he spake
He then lying  on Jesus' breast saith unto him, Lord ,  who is it?
Jesus  answered,  He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave it to Judas  Iscariot, the son of Simon.
And after the sop Satan entered  into him. Then said Jesus  unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.
Now no man at the table knew for what intent he spake  this unto him.
For some of them thought,  because Judas  had the bag, that Jesus  had said unto him, Buy  those things that we have need of against the feast; or, that he should give something  to the poor
He then having received  the sop went immediately out: and it was night
Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus  said, Now is the Son of man glorified,  and God  is glorified  in him.   John 13:21-31

Simon Peter said unto him, Lord ,  whither goest thou? Jesus  answered  him, Whither I go, thou canst not follow me now; but thou shalt follow me afterwards.
Peter said unto him, Lord ,  why cannot I follow thee now? I will lay down my life  for thy sake.
Jesus  answered  him, Wilt thou lay down thy life  for my sake? Verily, verily, I say unto thee, The cock shall not crow,  till thou hast denied me thrice.   John 13:36-38

Jesus  saith unto him, I am the way, the truth,  and the life:  no man cometh unto the Father,  but by me.   John 14:6

Jesus  saith unto him, Have I been so long time  with you, and yet hast thou not known  me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father;  and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father
Believest  thou not that I am in the Father,  and the Father  in me? the words  that I speak  unto you I speak  not of myself: but the Father  that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.   John 14:9, 10

Jesus  answered  and said unto him, If a man love  me, he will keep my words:  and my Father  will love  him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.   John 14:23

Now Jesus  knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said unto them, Do ye enquire among yourselves of that I said, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me?
Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep  and lament,  but the world  shall rejoice:  and ye shall be sorrowful,  but your sorrow  shall be turned into joy   John 16:19, 20

Jesus  answered  them, Do ye now believe
Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone:  and yet I am not alone,  because the Father  is with me.   John 16:31, 32

These words  spake  Jesus,  and lifted up his eyes to heaven,  and said, Father,  the hour is come; glorify  thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify  thee:
As thou hast given him power over all flesh,  that he should give eternal  life  to as many as thou hast given him.
And this is life  eternal,  that they might know  thee the only true God,  and Jesus  Christ,  whom thou hast sent.   John 17:1-3

When Jesus  had spoken  these words,  he went forth with his disciples  over the brook Cedron, where was a garden,  into the which he entered,  and his disciples
And Judas  also, which betrayed  him, knew the place: for Jesus  ofttimes resorted thither with his disciples
Judas  then, having received  a band of men and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, cometh thither with lanterns and torches and weapons
Jesus  therefore, knowing  all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye?
They answered  him, Jesus  of Nazareth. Jesus  saith unto them, I am he. And Judas  also, which betrayed  him, stood with them.
As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward,  and fell  to the ground.
Then asked he them again, Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus  of Nazareth.
Jesus  answered,  I have told you that I am he: if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way:
That the saying might be fulfilled, which he spake,  Of them which thou gavest me have I lost  none.
Then Simon Peter having a sword  drew it, and smote  the high priest's servant,  and cut  off his right ear.  The servant's name   was Malchus.
Then said Jesus  unto Peter, Put up thy sword  into the sheath: the cup  which my Father  hath given me, shall I not drink  it?
Then the band and the captain  and officers of the Jews took Jesus,  and bound him,
And led him away to Annas first; for he was father  in law  to Caiaphas, which was the high priest that same year.
Now Caiaphas was he, which gave counsel to the Jews, that it was expedient that one man should die  for the people
And Simon Peter followed Jesus,  and so did another disciple:  that disciple  was known  unto the high priest, and went in with Jesus  into the palace of the high priest.   John 18:1-15

The high priest then asked Jesus  of his disciples,  and of his doctrine
Jesus  answered  him, I spake  openly  to the world;  I ever taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, whither the Jews always resort; and in secret  have I said nothing
Why askest thou me? ask them which heard  me, what I have said unto them: behold, they know  what I said.
And when he had thus spoken,  one of the officers which stood by struck Jesus  with the palm of his hand,  saying, Answerest  thou the high priest so?
Jesus  answered  him, If I have spoken  evilbear  witness  of the evil:  but if well, why smitest  thou me?
Now Annas had sent him bound unto Caiaphas the high priest.   John 18:19-24

Then led they Jesus  from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled;  but that they might eat the passover.   John 18:28

That the saying of Jesus  might be fulfilled, which he spake,  signifying what death  he should die
Then Pilate entered  into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus,  and said unto him, Art thou the King  of the Jews?
Jesus  answered  him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me?
Pilate answered,  Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered  thee unto me: what hast thou done?
Jesus  answered,  My kingdom  is not of this world:  if my kingdom  were of this world,  then would my servants  fight,  that I should not be delivered  to the Jews: but now is my kingdom  not from hence.
Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king  then? Jesus  answered,  Thou sayest that I am a king.  To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world,  that I should bear  witness  unto the truth.  Every one that is of the truth  heareth  my voice   John 18:32-37

Then Pilate therefore took Jesus,  and scourged  him.   John 19:1

Then came Jesus  forth, wearing the crown  of thorns,  and the purple  robe.  And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man!   John 19:5

And went again into the judgment hall, and saith unto Jesus,  Whence art thou? But Jesus  gave him no answer
Then saith Pilate unto him, Speakest  thou not unto me? knowest  thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release  thee?
Jesus  answered,  Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered  me unto thee hath the greater sin
And from thenceforth Pilate sought to release  him: but the Jews cried  out, saying, If thou let this man go, thou art not Caesar's friend:  whosoever maketh himself a king  speaketh  against Caesar.
When Pilate therefore heard  that saying, he brought Jesus  forth, and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha.   John 19:9-13

Then delivered  he him therefore unto them to be crucified.  And they took Jesus,  and led him away.
And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull,  which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha:
Where they crucified  him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus  in the midst.
And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was JESUS  OF NAZARETH THE KING  OF THE JEWS.
This title then read  many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus  was crucified  was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin.   John 19:16-20

Then the soldiers, when they had crucified  Jesus,  took his garments,  and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat: now the coat was without seam, woven  from the top throughout.
They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture  might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment  among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did.
Now there stood by the cross of Jesus  his mother,  and his mother's sisterMary  the wife  of Cleophas, and Mary  Magdalene.
When Jesus  therefore saw his mother,  and the disciple  standing by, whom he loved,  he saith unto his motherWoman,  behold thy son!
Then saith he to the disciple,  Behold thy mother!  And from that hour that disciple  took her unto his own home
After this, Jesus  knowing  that all things were now accomplished,  that the scripture  might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst
Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth
When Jesus  therefore had received  the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head,  and gave up the ghost   John 19:23-30

But when they came to Jesus,  and saw that he was dead  already, they brake not his legs
But one of the soldiers with a spear  pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood  and water   John 19:33, 34

And after this Joseph  of Arimathaea, being a disciple  of Jesus,  but secretly  for fear  of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body  of Jesus:  and Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore, and took the body  of Jesus
And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus  by night,  and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight.
Then took they the body  of Jesus,  and wound  it in linen  clothes  with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.
Now in the place where he was crucified  there was a garden;  and in the garden  a new sepulchre, wherein was never  man yet laid.
There laid they Jesus  therefore because of the Jews' preparation  day;  for the sepulchre was nigh at hand   John 19:38-42

Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple,  whom Jesus  loved,  and saith unto them, They have taken away the LORD   out of the sepulchre, and we know  not where they have laid him.   John 20:2

And seeth two angels  in white  sitting, the one at the head,  and the other at the feet,  where the body  of Jesus  had lain.
And they say unto her, Woman,  why weepest  thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my LORD ,  and I know  not where they have laid him.
And when she had thus said, she turned herself back,  and saw Jesus  standing, and knew not that it was Jesus
Jesus  saith unto her, Woman,  why weepest  thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener,  saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.
Jesus  saith unto her, Mary.  She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.
Jesus  saith unto her, Touch  me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father:  but go to my brethren,  and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father,  and your Father;  and to my God,  and your God
Mary  Magdalene came and told the disciples  that she had seen the LORD ,  and that he had spoken  these things unto her.
Then the same day  at evening,  being the first day  of the week, when the doors  were shut where the disciples  were assembled for fear  of the Jews, came Jesus  and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace  be unto you.
And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands  and his side. Then were the disciples  glad, when they saw the LORD
Then said Jesus  to them again, Peace  be unto you: as my Father  hath sent me, even so send I you.   John 20:12-21

But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus  came.
The other disciples  therefore said unto him, We have seen the LORD .  But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands  the print of the nails, and put my finger  into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand  into his side, I will not believe
And after eight days  again his disciples  were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus,  the doors  being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace  be unto you.   John 20:24-26

Jesus  saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believedblessed  are they that have not seen, and yet have believed
And many other signs truly did Jesus  in the presence of his disciples,  which are not written in this book
But these are written, that ye might believe  that Jesus  is the Christ,  the Son of God;  and that believing ye might have life  through his name   John 20:29-31

After these things Jesus  shewed himself again to the disciples  at the sea  of Tiberias; and on this wise  shewed he himself.   John 21:1

But when the morning  was now come, Jesus  stood on the shore: but the disciples  knew not that it was Jesus
Then Jesus  saith unto them, Children,  have ye any meat?  They answered  him, No.
And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find.  They cast therefore, and now they were not able  to draw it for the multitude of fishes
Therefore that disciple  whom Jesus  loved  saith unto Peter, It is the Lord .  Now when Simon Peter heard  that it was the Lord ,  he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked,)  and did cast himself into the sea   John 21:4-7

Jesus  saith unto them, Bring  of the fish  which ye have now caught.
Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land  full of great fishes,  an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken
Jesus  saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples  durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing  that it was the Lord
Jesus  then cometh, and taketh bread,  and giveth them, and fish  likewise.
This is now the third time  that Jesus  shewed himself to his disciples,  after that he was risen from the dead
So when they had dined, Jesus  saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest  thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord ;  thou knowest  that I love  thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.
He saith to him again the second time,  Simon, son of Jonas, lovest  thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord ;  thou knowest  that I love  thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
He saith unto him the third time,  Simon, son of Jonas, lovest  thou me? Peter was grieved  because he said unto him the third timeLovest  thou me? And he said unto him, Lord ,  thou knowest  all things; thou knowest  that I love  thee. Jesus  saith unto him, Feed my sheep.   John 21:10-17

Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple  whom Jesus  loved  following; which also leaned  on his breast at supper, and said, Lord ,  which is he that betrayeth  thee?
Peter seeing him saith to Jesus Lord ,  and what shall this man do?
Jesus  saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.
Then went this saying abroad among the brethren,  that that disciple  should not die:  yet Jesus  said not unto him, He shall not die;  but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?
This is the disciple  which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know  that his testimony  is true.
And there are also many other things which Jesus  did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world  itself could not contain the books  that should be written. Amen.   John 21:20-25

The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus  began both to do and teach
Until the day  in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy  Ghost  had given commandments  unto the apostles  whom he had chosen:
To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible  proofs, being seen of them forty days,  and speaking  of the things pertaining to the kingdom  of God
And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart  from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise  of the Father,  which, saith he, ye have heard  of me.   Acts 1:1-4

Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven?  this same Jesus,  which is taken up from you into heaven,  shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven   Acts 1:11

These all continued with one accord in prayer  and supplication,  with the women,  and Mary  the mother  of Jesus,  and with his brethren
And in those days  Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples,  and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)
Men and brethren,  this scripture  must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy  Ghost  by the mouth  of David  spake  before concerning Judas,  which was guide to them that took Jesus   Acts 1:14-16

Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time  that the Lord   Jesus  went in and out among us,
Beginning  from the baptism  of John,  unto that same day  that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness  with us of his resurrection.   Acts 1:21, 22

Ye men of Israel, hear  these wordsJesus  of Nazareth, a man approved  of God  among you by miracles  and wonders  and signs, which God  did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know

For to do whatsoever thy hand  and thy counsel determined before to be done.
And now, Lord ,  behold their threatenings:  and grant unto thy servants,  that with all boldness they may speak  thy word,
By stretching forth thine hand  to heal; and that signs and wonders  may be done by the name   of thy holy  child  Jesus   Acts 4:27-30

And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles,  and beaten  them, they commanded that they should not speak  in the name   of Jesus,  and let them go.
And they departed  from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy  to suffer shame  for his name
And daily in the temple, and in every house,  they ceased  not to teach  and preach  Jesus  Christ   Acts 5:40-42

That word, I say, ye know,  which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism  which John  preached
How God  anointed Jesus  of Nazareth with the Holy  Ghost  and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed  of the devil;  for God  was with him.   Acts 10:36-38

Forasmuch then as God  gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed  on the Lord   Jesus  Christ;  what was I, that I could withstand God
When they heard  these things, they held their peace,  and glorified  God,  saying, Then hath God  also to the Gentiles  granted repentance  unto life
Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution  that arose about Stephen travelled  as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching  the word to none but unto the Jews only.
And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake  unto the Grecians, preaching  the LORD   Jesus   Acts 11:17-20

And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.
And the evil  spirit  answered  and said, Jesus  I know,  and Paul  I know;  but who are ye?
And the man in whom the evil  spirit  was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled  out of that house  naked  and wounded

Preaching  the kingdom  of God,  and teaching  those things which concern the Lord   Jesus  Christ,  with all confidence,  no man forbidding  him.   Acts 28:31

Paul,  a servant  of Jesus  Christ,  called to be an apostle,  separated unto the gospel  of God
(Which he had promised  afore by his prophets  in the holy  scriptures,)
Concerning his Son Jesus  Christ  our Lord ,  which was made of the seed of David  according to the flesh
And declared  to be the Son of God  with power, according to the spirit  of holiness,  by the resurrection from the dead
By whom we have received  grace  and apostleship,  for obedience  to the faith  among all nations, for his name
Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus  Christ
To all that be in Rome, beloved of God,  called to be saints: Grace  to you and peace  from God  our Father,  and the Lord   Jesus  Christ
First, I thank my God  through Jesus  Christ  for you all, that your faith  is spoken  of throughout the whole world   Romans 1:1-8

In the day  when God  shall judge the secrets  of men by Jesus  Christ  according to my gospel   Romans 2:16

Even the righteousness  of God  which is by faith  of Jesus  Christ  unto all and upon all them that believe:  for there is no difference:
For all have sinned,  and come short of the glory  of God
Being justified freely  by his grace  through the redemption  that is in Christ  Jesus
Whom God  hath set forth to be a propitiation  through faith  in his blood,  to declare  his righteousness  for the remission of sins  that are past, through the forbearance of God
To declare,  I say, at this time  his righteousness:  that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth  in Jesus   Romans 3:22-26

But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe  on him that raised up Jesus  our Lord   from the dead
Who was delivered  for our offences, and was raised again for our justification   Romans 4:24, 25

Therefore being justified by faith,  we have peace  with God  through our Lord   Jesus  Christ
By whom also we have access by faith  into this grace  wherein we stand, and rejoice  in hope of the glory  of God   Romans 5:1, 2

And not only so, but we also joy  in God  through our Lord   Jesus  Christ,  by whom we have now received  the atonement   Romans 5:11

But not as the offence, so also is the free  gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead,  much more the grace  of God,  and the gift by grace,  which is by one man, Jesus  Christ,  hath abounded unto many.
And not as it was by one that sinned,  so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation,  but the free  gift is of many offences unto justification
For if by one man's offence death  reigned by one; much more they which receive  abundance  of grace  and of the gift of righteousness  shall reign in life  by one, Jesus  Christ.)
Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation;  even so by the righteousness  of one the free  gift came upon all men unto justification  of life   Romans 5:15-18

That as sin  hath reigned unto death,  even so might grace  reign through righteousness  unto eternal  life  by Jesus  Christ  our Lord   Romans 5:21

Know  ye not, that so many of us as were baptized  into Jesus  Christ  were baptized  into his death
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism  into death:  that like as Christ  was raised up from the dead  by the glory  of the Father,  even so we also should walk  in newness of life   Romans 6:3, 4

Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead  indeed unto sin,  but alive unto God  through Jesus  Christ  our Lord   Romans 6:11

For the wages  of sin  is death;  but the gift of God  is eternal  life  through Jesus  Christ  our Lord   Romans 6:23

I thank God  through Jesus  Christ  our Lord .  So then with the mind I myself serve  the law  of God;  but with the flesh  the law  of sin   Romans 7:25

There is therefore now no condemnation  to them which are in Christ  Jesus,  who walk  not after the flesh,  but after the Spirit
For the law  of the Spirit  of life  in Christ  Jesus  hath made me free  from the law  of sin  and death   Romans 8:1, 2

But if the Spirit  of him that raised up Jesus  from the dead  dwell in you, he that raised up Christ  from the dead  shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit  that dwelleth in you.   Romans 8:11

Nor height, nor depth,  nor any other creature, shall be able  to separate us from the love  of God,  which is in Christ  Jesus  our Lord   Romans 8:39

That if thou shalt confess  with thy mouth  the Lord   Jesus,  and shalt believe  in thine heart  that God  hath raised him from the dead,  thou shalt be saved   Romans 10:9

But put ye on the Lord   Jesus  Christ,  and make not provision for the flesh,  to fulfil the lusts  thereof.   Romans 13:14

I know,  and am persuaded by the Lord   Jesus,  that there is nothing  unclean  of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean,  to him it is unclean   Romans 14:14

Now the God  of patience  and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ  Jesus
That ye may with one mind and one mouth  glorify  God,  even the Father  of our Lord   Jesus  Christ
Wherefore receive  ye one another, as Christ  also received  us to the glory  of God
Now I say that Jesus  Christ  was a minister  of the circumcision  for the truth  of God,  to confirm the promises  made unto the fathers
And that the Gentiles  might glorify  God  for his mercy;  as it is written, For this cause I will confess  to thee among the Gentiles,  and sing  unto thy name   Romans 15:5-9

That I should be the minister  of Jesus  Christ  to the Gentiles,  ministering the gospel  of God,  that the offering up of the Gentiles  might be acceptable,  being sanctified by the Holy  Ghost
I have therefore whereof I may glory  through Jesus  Christ  in those things which pertain to God   Romans 15:16, 17

Now I beseech you, brethren,  for the Lord   Jesus  Christ's sake, and for the love  of the Spirit,  that ye strive together with me in your prayers  to God  for me;
That I may be delivered  from them that do not believe  in Judaea; and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted  of the saints;
That I may come unto you with joy  by the will of God,  and may with you be refreshed   Romans 15:30-32

Greet Priscilla and Aquila my helpers in Christ  Jesus
Who have for my life  laid down their own necks:  unto whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches  of the Gentiles   Romans 16:3, 4

For they that are such serve  not our Lord   Jesus  Christ,  but their own belly;  and by good words  and fair speeches deceive  the hearts  of the simple
For your obedience  is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise  unto that which is good, and simple  concerning evil
And the God  of peace  shall bruise Satan under your feet  shortly. The grace  of our Lord   Jesus  Christ  be with you. Amen.   Romans 16:18-20

The grace  of our Lord   Jesus  Christ  be with you all. Amen.
Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel,  and the preaching  of Jesus  Christ,  according to the revelation of the mystery,  which was kept secret  since the world  began,
But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures  of the prophets,  according to the commandment  of the everlasting  God,  made known  to all nations for the obedience  of faith
To God  only wise,  be glory  through Jesus  Christ  for ever. Amen.   Romans 16:24-27

Paul  called to be an apostle  of Jesus  Christ  through the will of God,  and Sosthenes our brother,
Unto the church  of God  which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ  Jesus,  called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name   of Jesus  Christ  our Lord ,  both their's and our's:
Grace  be unto you, and peace,  from God  our Father,  and from the Lord   Jesus  Christ
I thank my God  always on your behalf, for the grace  of God  which is given you by Jesus  Christ
That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge
Even as the testimony  of Christ  was confirmed in you:
So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord   Jesus  Christ
Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless  in the day  of our Lord   Jesus  Christ
God  is faithful,  by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus  Christ  our Lord
Now I beseech you, brethren,  by the name   of our Lord   Jesus  Christ,  that ye all speak  the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly  joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.   1 Corinthians 1:1-10

But of him are ye in Christ  Jesus,  who of God  is made unto us wisdom,  and righteousness,  and sanctification,  and redemption

In the name   of our Lord   Jesus  Christ,  when ye are gathered  together, and my spirit,  with the power of our Lord   Jesus  Christ

And such were some of you: but ye are washed,  but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name   of the Lord   Jesus,  and by the Spirit  of our God   1 Corinthians 6:11

But to us there is but one God,  the Father,  of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord   Jesus  Christ,  by whom are all things, and we by him.   1 Corinthians 8:6

Am I not an apostle?  am I not free?  have I not seen Jesus  Christ  our Lord ?  are not ye my work in the Lord
If I be not an apostle  unto others, yet doubtless  I am to you: for the seal of mine apostleship  are ye in the Lord   1 Corinthians 9:1, 2

For I have received  of the Lord   that which also I delivered  unto you, That the Lord   Jesus  the same night  in which he was betrayed  took bread
And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body,  which is broken  for you: this do in remembrance of me.   1 Corinthians 11:23, 24

Wherefore I give you to understand,  that no man speaking  by the Spirit  of God  calleth Jesus  accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus  is the Lord ,  but by the Holy  Ghost   1 Corinthians 12:3

I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ  Jesus  our Lord ,  I die  daily.   1 Corinthians 15:31

But thanks be to God,  which giveth us the victory  through our Lord   Jesus  Christ   1 Corinthians 15:57

The grace  of our Lord   Jesus  Christ  be with you.
My love  be with you all in Christ  Jesus.  Amen.   1 Corinthians 16:22-24

Paul,  an apostle  of Jesus  Christ  by the will of God,  and Timothy  our brother, unto the church  of God  which is at Corinth, with all the saints which are in all Achaia:
Grace  be to you and peace  from God  our Father,  and from the Lord   Jesus  Christ
Blessed  be God,  even the Father  of our Lord   Jesus  Christ,  the Father  of mercies, and the God  of all comfort;
Who comforteth us in all our tribulation,  that we may be able  to comfort them which are in any trouble,  by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God   2 Corinthians 1:1-4

As also ye have acknowledged us in part, that we are your rejoicing, even as ye also are our's in the day  of the Lord   Jesus   2 Corinthians 1:14

For the Son of GodJesus  Christ,  who was preached  among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea.   2 Corinthians 1:19

For we preach  not ourselves, but Christ  Jesus  the Lord ;  and ourselves your servants  for Jesus' sake.
For God,  who commanded the light  to shine out of darkness,  hath shined in our hearts,  to give the light  of the knowledge  of the glory  of God  in the face  of Jesus  Christ   2 Corinthians 4:5, 6

Always bearing about in the body  the dying  of the Lord   Jesus,  that the life  also of Jesus  might be made manifest in our body
For we which live are alway delivered  unto death  for Jesus' sake, that the life  also of Jesus  might be made manifest in our mortal flesh   2 Corinthians 4:10, 11

Knowing  that he which raised up the Lord   Jesus  shall raise up us also by Jesus,  and shall present us with you.   2 Corinthians 4:14

And all things are of God,  who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus  Christ,  and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation
To wit, that God  was in Christ,  reconciling the world  unto himself, not imputing their trespasses  unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation   2 Corinthians 5:18, 19

For ye know  the grace  of our Lord   Jesus  Christ,  that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor,  that ye through his poverty  might be rich.   2 Corinthians 8:9

For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus,  whom we have not preached,  or if ye receive  another spirit,  which ye have not received,  or another gospel,  which ye have not accepted,  ye might well bear  with him.   2 Corinthians 11:4

The God  and Father  of our Lord   Jesus  Christ,  which is blessed  for evermore, knoweth  that I lie  not.   2 Corinthians 11:31

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faithprove  your own selves. Know  ye not your own selves, how that Jesus  Christ  is in you, except ye be reprobates
But I trust that ye shall know  that we are not reprobates   2 Corinthians 13:5, 6

The grace  of the Lord   Jesus  Christ,  and the love  of God,  and the communion of the Holy  Ghost,  be with you all. Amen.   2 Corinthians 13:14

Paul,  an apostle,  (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus  Christ,  and God  the Father,  who raised him from the dead;)
And all the brethren  which are with me, unto the churches  of Galatia:
Grace  be to you and peace  from God  the Father,  and from our Lord   Jesus  Christ
Who gave himself for our sins,  that he might deliver  us from this present evil  world,  according to the will of God  and our Father
To whom be glory  for ever and ever. Amen.   Galatians 1:1-5

For I neither received  it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus  Christ   Galatians 1:12

And that because of false brethren  unawares  brought in, who came in privily to spy  out our liberty  which we have in Christ  Jesus,  that they might bring  us into bondage:
To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth  of the gospel  might continue with you.   Galatians 2:4, 5

Knowing  that a man is not justified by the works of the law,  but by the faith  of Jesus  Christ,  even we have believed  in Jesus  Christ,  that we might be justified by the faith  of Christ,  and not by the works of the law:  for by the works of the law  shall no flesh  be justified.   Galatians 2:16

O foolish  Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth,  before whose eyes Jesus  Christ  hath been evidently set forth, crucified  among you?
This only would I learn  of you, Received  ye the Spirit  by the works of the law,  or by the hearing  of faith
Are ye so foolish?  having begun in the Spirit,  are ye now made perfect  by the flesh
Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain.   Galatians 3:1-4

That the blessing  of Abraham  might come on the Gentiles  through Jesus  Christ;  that we might receive  the promise  of the Spirit  through faith   Galatians 3:14

But the scripture  hath concluded  all under sin,  that the promise  by faith  of Jesus  Christ  might be given to them that believe   Galatians 3:22

For ye are all the children  of God  by faith  in Christ  Jesus
For as many of you as have been baptized  into Christ  have put on Christ
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free,  there is neither male  nor female: for ye are all one in Christ  Jesus   Galatians 3:26-28

And my temptation  which was in my flesh  ye despised  not, nor rejected;  but received  me as an angel  of God,  even as Christ  Jesus   Galatians 4:14

For in Jesus  Christ  neither circumcision  availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith  which worketh by love   Galatians 5:6

But God  forbid  that I should glorysave  in the cross of our Lord   Jesus  Christ,  by whom the world  is crucified  unto me, and I unto the world
For in Christ  Jesus  neither circumcision  availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
And as many as walk  according to this rule, peace  be on them, and mercy,  and upon the Israel of God
From henceforth let no man trouble  me: for I bear  in my body  the marks of the Lord   Jesus
Brethren,  the grace  of our Lord   Jesus  Christ  be with your spirit.  Amen.   Galatians 6:14-18

Paul,  an apostle  of Jesus  Christ  by the will of God,  to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful  in Christ  Jesus
Grace  be to you, and peace,  from God  our Father,  and from the Lord   Jesus  Christ
Blessed  be the God  and Father  of our Lord   Jesus  Christ,  who hath blessed  us with all spiritual  blessings  in heavenly  places in Christ
According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world,  that we should be holy  and without blame  before him in love
Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children  by Jesus  Christ  to himself, according to the good pleasure  of his will,
To the praise  of the glory  of his grace,  wherein he hath made us accepted  in the beloved.   Ephesians 1:1-6

Wherefore I also, after I heard  of your faith  in the Lord   Jesus,  and love  unto all the saints,
Cease  not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers
That the God  of our Lord   Jesus  Christ,  the Father  of glory,  may give unto you the spirit  of wisdom  and revelation in the knowledge  of him:
The eyes of your understanding  being enlightened; that ye may know  what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory  of his inheritance  in the saints,
And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe,  according to the working of his mighty power,
Which he wrought in Christ,  when he raised him from the dead,  and set him at his own right hand  in the heavenly  places,
Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name   that is named, not only in this world,  but also in that which is to come:
And hath put all things under his feet,  and gave him to be the head  over all things to the church
Which is his body,  the fulness of him that filleth all in all.   Ephesians 1:15-23

And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly  places in Christ  Jesus
That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace  in his kindness  toward us through Christ  Jesus   Ephesians 2:6, 7

For we are his workmanship, created  in Christ  Jesus  unto good works, which God  hath before ordained that we should walk  in them.   Ephesians 2:10

But now in Christ  Jesus  ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood  of Christ   Ephesians 2:13

And are built upon the foundation of the apostles  and prophetsJesus  Christ  himself being the chief corner stone;
In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth  unto an holy  temple in the Lord
In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God  through the Spirit   Ephesians 2:20-22

For this cause I Paul,  the prisoner  of Jesus  Christ  for you Gentiles
If ye have heard  of the dispensation of the grace  of God  which is given me to you-ward:
How that by revelation he made known  unto me the mystery;  (as I wrote afore in few words
Whereby, when ye read,  ye may understand  my knowledge  in the mystery  of Christ
Which in other ages was not made known  unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy  apostles  and prophets  by the Spirit
That the Gentiles  should be fellowheirs, and of the same body,  and partakers of his promise  in Christ  by the gospel
Whereof I was made a minister,  according to the gift of the grace  of God  given unto me by the effectual working of his power.
Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace  given, that I should preach  among the Gentiles  the unsearchable  riches of Christ
And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery,  which from the beginning  of the world  hath been hid in God,  who created  all things by Jesus  Christ
To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly  places might be known  by the church  the manifold wisdom  of God
According to the eternal  purpose which he purposed in Christ  Jesus  our Lord
In whom we have boldness and access with confidence  by the faith  of him.
Wherefore I desire  that ye faint  not at my tribulations  for you, which is your glory
For this cause I bow my knees  unto the Father  of our Lord   Jesus  Christ
Of whom the whole family  in heaven  and earth  is named,
That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory,  to be strengthened with might by his Spirit  in the inner man;
That Christ  may dwell in your hearts  by faith;  that ye, being rooted  and grounded in love
May be able  to comprehend  with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth,  and height;
And to know  the love  of Christ,  which passeth knowledge,  that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God
Now unto him that is able  to do exceeding abundantly  above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
Unto him be glory  in the church  by Christ  Jesus  throughout all ages, world  without end. Amen.   Ephesians 3:1-21

If so be that ye have heard  him, and have been taught by him, as the truth  is in Jesus
That ye put off concerning the former conversation  the old man, which is corrupt  according to the deceitful  lusts
And be renewed in the spirit  of your mind;
And that ye put on the new man, which after God  is created  in righteousness  and true holiness   Ephesians 4:21-24

Giving thanks always for all things unto God  and the Father  in the name   of our Lord   Jesus  Christ
Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear  of God   Ephesians 5:20, 21

Peace  be to the brethren,  and love  with faith,  from God  the Father  and the Lord   Jesus  Christ
Grace  be with all them that love  our Lord   Jesus  Christ  in sincerity. Amen.   Ephesians 6:23, 24

Paul  and Timotheus, the servants  of Jesus  Christ,  to all the saints in Christ  Jesus  which are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons
Grace  be unto you, and peace,  from God  our Father,  and from the Lord   Jesus  Christ   Philippians 1:1, 2

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform  it until the day  of Jesus  Christ
Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart;  inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel,  ye all are partakers of my grace
For God  is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus  Christ   Philippians 1:6-8

Being filled with the fruits  of righteousness,  which are by Jesus  Christ,  unto the glory  and praise  of God   Philippians 1:11

For I know  that this shall turn to my salvation  through your prayer,  and the supply of the Spirit  of Jesus  Christ
According to my earnest expectation  and my hope, that in nothing  I shall be ashamed,  but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ  shall be magnified in my body,  whether it be by life,  or by death   Philippians 1:19, 20

That your rejoicing may be more abundant  in Jesus  Christ  for me by my coming to you again.   Philippians 1:26

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ  Jesus
Who, being in the form of Godthought  it not robbery to be equal with God
But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant,  and was made in the likeness of men:
And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient  unto death,  even the death  of the cross.
Wherefore God  also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name   which is above every name
That at the name   of Jesus  every knee  should bow, of things in heaven,  and things in earth,  and things under the earth
And that every tongue  should confess  that Jesus  Christ  is Lord ,  to the glory  of God  the Father   Philippians 2:5-11

But I trust in the Lord   Jesus  to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know  your state.
For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state.
For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus  Christ's.   Philippians 2:19-21

For we are the circumcision,  which worship  God  in the spirit,  and rejoice  in Christ  Jesus,  and have no confidence  in the flesh   Philippians 3:3

Yea doubtless,  and I count all things but loss  for the excellency of the knowledge  of Christ  Jesus  my Lord :  for whom I have suffered the loss  of all things, and do count them but dung,  that I may win Christ
And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness,  which is of the law,  but that which is through the faith  of Christ,  the righteousness  which is of God  by faith
That I may know  him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings,  being made conformable  unto his death
If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead
Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect:  but I follow after, if that I may apprehend  that for which also I am apprehended  of Christ  Jesus
Brethren,  I count not myself to have apprehended:  but this one thing I do, forgetting  those things which are behind, and reaching  forth unto those things which are before,
I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God  in Christ  Jesus   Philippians 3:8-14

For our conversation  is in heaven;  from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord   Jesus  Christ
Who shall change our vile body,  that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body,  according to the working whereby he is able  even to subdue all things unto himself.   Philippians 3:20, 21

And the peace  of God,  which passeth all understanding,  shall keep your hearts  and minds through Christ  Jesus   Philippians 4:7

But my God  shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory  by Christ  Jesus
Now unto God  and our Father  be glory  for ever and ever. Amen.
Salute every saint in Christ  Jesus.  The brethren  which are with me greet you.
All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of Caesar's household
The grace  of our Lord   Jesus  Christ  be with you all. Amen.   Philippians 4:19-23

Paul,  an apostle  of Jesus  Christ  by the will of God,  and Timotheus our brother,
To the saints and faithful  brethren  in Christ  which are at Colosse: Grace  be unto you, and peace,  from God  our Father  and the Lord   Jesus  Christ
We give thanks to God  and the Father  of our Lord   Jesus  Christpraying  always for you,
Since we heard  of your faith  in Christ  Jesus,  and of the love  which ye have to all the saints,
For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven,  whereof ye heard  before in the word of the truth  of the gospel
Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world;  and bringeth  forth fruit,  as it doth also in you, since the day  ye heard  of it, and knew the grace  of God  in truth
As ye also learned  of Epaphras our dear fellowservant, who is for you a faithful  minister  of Christ
Who also declared  unto us your love  in the Spirit   Colossians 1:1-8

Whom we preachwarning  every man, and teaching  every man in all wisdom;  that we may present every man perfect  in Christ  Jesus
Whereunto I also labour,  striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.   Colossians 1:28, 29

As ye have therefore received  Christ  Jesus  the Lord ,  so walk  ye in him:
Rooted  and built up in him, and stablished in the faith,  as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving   Colossians 2:6, 7

And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name   of the Lord   Jesus,  giving thanks to God  and the Father  by him.   Colossians 3:17

And Jesus,  which is called Justus, who are of the circumcision.  These only are my fellowworkers unto the kingdom  of God,  which have been a comfort unto me.   Colossians 4:11

Paul,  and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church  of the Thessalonians which is in God  the Father  and in the Lord   Jesus  ChristGrace  be unto you, and peace,  from God  our Father,  and the Lord   Jesus  Christ
We give thanks to God  always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers
Remembering  without ceasing your work of faith,  and labour  of love,  and patience  of hope in our Lord   Jesus  Christ,  in the sight of God  and our Father
Knowingbrethren  beloved, your election of God   1 Thessalonians 1:1-4

And to wait for his Son from heaven,  whom he raised from the dead,  even Jesus,  which delivered  us from the wrath  to come.   1 Thessalonians 1:10

For ye, brethren,  became followers of the churches  of God  which in Judaea are in Christ  Jesus:  for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews:
Who both killed  the Lord   Jesus,  and their own prophets,  and have persecuted  us; and they please  not God,  and are contrary to all men:
Forbidding  us to speak  to the Gentiles  that they might be saved,  to fill up their sins  alway: for the wrath  is come upon them to the uttermost.   1 Thessalonians 2:14-16

For what is our hope, or joy,  or crown  of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord   Jesus  Christ  at his coming?
For ye are our glory  and joy   1 Thessalonians 2:19, 20

Now God  himself and our Father,  and our Lord   Jesus  Christ,  direct our way unto you.
And the Lord   make you to increase and abound in love  one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:
To the end he may stablish your hearts  unblameable in holiness  before God,  even our Father,  at the coming of our Lord   Jesus  Christ  with all his saints.   1 Thessalonians 3:11-13

Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren,  and exhort  you by the Lord   Jesus,  that as ye have received  of us how ye ought to walk  and to please  God,  so ye would abound more and more.
For ye know  what commandments  we gave you by the Lord   Jesus   1 Thessalonians 4:1, 2

For if we believe  that Jesus  died  and rose  again, even so them also which sleep  in Jesus  will God  bring  with him.   1 Thessalonians 4:14

For God  hath not appointed  us to wrath,  but to obtain salvation  by our Lord   Jesus  Christ
Who died  for us, that, whether we wake or sleep,  we should live together with him.   1 Thessalonians 5:9, 10

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God  in Christ  Jesus  concerning you.   1 Thessalonians 5:18

And the very God  of peace  sanctify  you wholly; and I pray  God  your whole spirit  and soul  and body  be preserved blameless  unto the coming of our Lord   Jesus  Christ   1 Thessalonians 5:23

The grace  of our Lord   Jesus  Christ  be with you. Amen.   1 Thessalonians 5:28

Paul,  and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church  of the Thessalonians in God  our Father  and the Lord   Jesus  Christ
Grace  unto you, and peace,  from God  our Father  and the Lord   Jesus  Christ   2 Thessalonians 1:1, 2

And to you who are troubled  rest with us, when the Lord   Jesus  shall be revealed from heaven  with his mighty angels
In flaming  fire  taking vengeance  on them that know  not God,  and that obey not the gospel  of our Lord   Jesus  Christ
Who shall be punished with everlasting  destruction  from the presence of the Lord ,  and from the glory  of his power;
When he shall come to be glorified  in his saints, and to be admired  in all them that believe  (because our testimony  among you was believed)  in that day
Wherefore also we pray  always for you, that our God  would count you worthy  of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure  of his goodness, and the work of faith  with power:
That the name   of our Lord   Jesus  Christ  may be glorified  in you, and ye in him, according to the grace  of our God  and the Lord   Jesus  Christ   2 Thessalonians 1:7-12

Now we beseech you, brethren,  by the coming of our Lord   Jesus  Christ,  and by our gathering  together unto him,
That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled,  neither by spirit,  nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day  of Christ  is at hand   2 Thessalonians 2:1, 2

Whereunto he called you by our gospel,  to the obtaining of the glory  of our Lord   Jesus  Christ
Therefore, brethren,  stand fast, and hold the traditions  which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle
Now our Lord   Jesus  Christ  himself, and God,  even our Father,  which hath loved  us, and hath given us everlasting  consolation and good hope through grace
Comfort your hearts,  and stablish you in every good word and work.   2 Thessalonians 2:14-17

Now we command you, brethren,  in the name   of our Lord   Jesus  Christ,  that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh  disorderly,  and not after the tradition  which he received  of us.   2 Thessalonians 3:6

Now them that are such we command and exhort  by our Lord   Jesus  Christ,  that with quietness  they work, and eat their own bread   2 Thessalonians 3:12

The grace  of our Lord   Jesus  Christ  be with you all. Amen.   2 Thessalonians 3:18

Paul,  an apostle  of Jesus  Christ  by the commandment  of God  our Saviour, and Lord   Jesus  Christ,  which is our hope;
Unto Timothy,  my own son in the faithGracemercy,  and peace,  from God  our Father  and Jesus  Christ  our Lord   1 Timothy 1:1, 2

And I thank Christ  Jesus  our Lord ,  who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful,  putting me into the ministry;
Who was before a blasphemer,  and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy,  because I did it ignorantly  in unbelief.
And the grace  of our Lord   was exceeding abundant  with faith  and love  which is in Christ  Jesus
This is a faithful  saying, and worthy  of all acceptation,  that Christ  Jesus  came into the world  to save  sinners;  of whom I am chief.
Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy,  that in me first Jesus  Christ  might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe  on him to life  everlasting   1 Timothy 1:12-16

For there is one God,  and one mediator  between God  and men, the man Christ  Jesus
Who gave himself a ransom  for all, to be testified in due time   1 Timothy 2:5, 6

For they that have used the office of a deacon  well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith  which is in Christ  Jesus   1 Timothy 3:13

If thou put the brethren  in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister  of Jesus  Christnourished  up in the words  of faith  and of good doctrine,  whereunto thou hast attained.   1 Timothy 4:6

I charge thee before God,  and the Lord   Jesus  Christ,  and the elect angels,  that thou observe  these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing  by partiality.   1 Timothy 5:21

If any man teach  otherwise, and consent  not to wholesome words,  even the words  of our Lord   Jesus  Christ,  and to the doctrine  which is according to godliness
He is proud, knowing  nothing,  but doting about questions  and strifes  of words,  whereof cometh envystrife,  railings, evil  surmisings,
Perverse  disputings of men of corrupt  minds, and destitute  of the truth,  supposing that gain is godliness:  from such withdraw thyself.   1 Timothy 6:3-5

I give thee charge in the sight of God,  who quickeneth all things, and before Christ  Jesus,  who before Pontius Pilate witnessed  a good confession
That thou keep this commandment  without spot, unrebukable, until the appearing of our Lord   Jesus  Christ
Which in his times  he shall shew, who is the blessed  and only Potentate,  the King  of kings,  and Lord   of lords;
Who only hath immortalitydwelling  in the light  which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour  and power everlasting.  Amen.   1 Timothy 6:13-16

Paul,  an apostle  of Jesus  Christ  by the will of God,  according to the promise  of life  which is in Christ  Jesus
To Timothy,  my dearly beloved son: Gracemercy,  and peace,  from God  the Father  and Christ  Jesus  our Lord   2 Timothy 1:1, 2

Who hath saved  us, and called us with an holy  calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace,  which was given us in Christ  Jesus  before the world  began,
But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus  Christ,  who hath abolished death,  and hath brought life  and immortality  to light  through the gospel
Whereunto I am appointed  a preacher,  and an apostle,  and a teacher  of the Gentiles
For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless  I am not ashamed:  for I know  whom I have believed,  and am persuaded that he is able  to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day
Hold fast the form of sound words,  which thou hast heard  of me, in faith  and love  which is in Christ  Jesus   2 Timothy 1:9-13

Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace  that is in Christ  Jesus
And the things that thou hast heard  of me among many witnesses,  the same commit thou to faithful  men, who shall be able  to teach  others also.
Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus  Christ   2 Timothy 2:1-3

Remember  that Jesus  Christ  of the seed of David  was raised from the dead  according to my gospel
Wherein I suffer trouble,  as an evil  doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God  is not bound.
Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation  which is in Christ  Jesus  with eternal  glory   2 Timothy 2:8-10

Yea, and all that will live godly  in Christ  Jesus  shall suffer persecution   2 Timothy 3:12

And that from a child  thou hast known  the holy  scriptures,  which are able  to make thee wise  unto salvation  through faith  which is in Christ  Jesus   2 Timothy 3:15

I charge thee therefore before God,  and the Lord   Jesus  Christ,  who shall judge the quick and the dead  at his appearing and his kingdom
Preach  the word; be instant  in season, out of season; reproverebukeexhort  with all longsuffering and doctrine   2 Timothy 4:1, 2

The Lord   Jesus  Christ  be with thy spiritGrace  be with you. Amen.   2 Timothy 4:22

Paul,  a servant  of God,  and an apostle  of Jesus  Christ,  according to the faith  of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth  which is after godliness
In hope of eternal  life,  which God,  that cannot liepromised  before the world  began;
But hath in due times  manifested his word through preaching,  which is committed unto me according to the commandment  of God  our Saviour;
To Titus, mine own son after the common faithGracemercy,  and peace,  from God  the Father  and the Lord   Jesus  Christ  our Saviour.   Titus 1:1-4

I thank my God,  making mention of thee always in my prayers

That the communication  of thy faith  may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ  Jesus   Philemon 1:1-6

Yet for love's sake I rather beseech thee, being such an one as Paul  the aged, and now also a prisoner  of Jesus  Christ   Philemon 1:9

Marcus, Aristarchus, Demas, Lucas, my fellowlabourers.
The grace  of our Lord   Jesus  Christ  be with your spirit.  Amen.   Philemon 1:23-25

But we see Jesus,  who was made a little lower than the angels  for the suffering  of deathcrowned  with glory  and honour;  that he by the grace  of God  should taste death  for every man.   Hebrews 2:9

Wherefore, holy  brethren,  partakers of the heavenly  calling, consider the Apostle  and High Priest of our profession, Christ  Jesus
Who was faithful  to him that appointed  him, as also Moses was faithful  in all his house   Hebrews 3:1, 2

For if Jesus  had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken  of another day   Hebrews 4:8

Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavensJesus  the Son of God,  let us hold fast our profession.   Hebrews 4:14

By a new and living  way, which he hath consecrated  for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh
And having an high priest over the house  of God
Let us draw near with a true heart  in full assurance  of faith,  having our hearts  sprinkled from an evil  conscience,  and our bodies washed  with pure water   Hebrews 10:19-22

Looking unto Jesus  the author  and finisher of our faith;  who for the joy  that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame,  and is set down at the right hand  of the throne of God   Hebrews 12:2

Peter, an apostle  of Jesus  Christ,  to the strangers  scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
Elect according to the foreknowledge of God  the Father,  through sanctification  of the Spirit,  unto obedience  and sprinkling of the blood  of Jesus  ChristGrace  unto you, and peace,  be multiplied.
Blessed  be the God  and Father  of our Lord   Jesus  Christ,  which according to his abundant  mercy  hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus  Christ  from the dead
To an inheritance  incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven  for you,
Who are kept by the power of God  through faith  unto salvation  ready  to be revealed in the last time
Wherein ye greatly rejoice,  though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness  through manifold temptations
That the trial of your faith,  being much more precious  than of gold  that perisheth, though it be tried with fire,  might be found unto praise  and honour  and glory  at the appearing of Jesus  Christ
Whom having not seen, ye love;  in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice  with joy  unspeakable  and full of glory
Receiving the end of your faith,  even the salvation  of your souls   1 Peter 1:1-9

Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace  that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus  Christ

The like figure whereunto even baptism  doth also now save  us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh,  but the answer  of a good conscience  toward God,)  by the resurrection of Jesus  Christ

Grace  and peace  be multiplied unto you through the knowledge  of God,  and of Jesus  our Lord
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life  and godliness,  through the knowledge  of him that hath called us to glory  and virtue:
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious  promises:  that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature,  having escaped  the corruption  that is in the world  through lust   2 Peter 1:1-4

And every spirit  that confesseth  not that Jesus  Christ  is come in the flesh  is not of God:  and this is that spirit  of antichrist, whereof ye have heard  that it should come; and even now already is it in the world   1 John 4:2, 3
