And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?
And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.   Genesis 25:32, 33 

And Judah said unto his brethren, What profit is it if we slay our brother, and conceal his blood?
Come, and let us sell him to the Ishmaelites, and let not our hand be upon him; for he is our brother and our flesh. And his brethren were content.   Genesis 37:26, 27 

And turn ye not aside: for then should ye go after vain things, which cannot profit nor deliver; for they are vain.   1 Samuel 12:21

Is it any pleasure to the Almighty, that thou art righteous? or is it gain to him, that thou makest thy ways perfect?

He looketh upon men, and if any say, I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, and it profited me not;
He will deliver his soul from going into the pit, and his life shall see the light.   Job 33:27, 28 

For he hath said, It profiteth a man nothing that he should delight himself with God.   Job 34:9 

For thou saidst, What advantage will it be unto thee? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin?

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.   John 6:63 

And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house,
Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.   Acts 20:20, 21 

For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision.   Romans 2:25

But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.   1 Corinthians 12:7

Now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine?
And even things without life giving sound, whether pipe or harp, except they give a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped?
For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?

And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.   Galatians 1:14 

Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.   Galatians 5:2 

For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.   1 Timothy 4:8 

Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.   1 Timothy 4:15 

Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.   2 Timothy 2:14 

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.   2 Timothy 3:16, 17 

Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry.   2 Timothy 4:11 

This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.   Titus 3:8 

Which in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me:

For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.   Hebrews 12:10 

Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.   Hebrews 13:9 

What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?   James 2:14-16
