I made me  pools of  water, to  water therewith the  wood that bringeth forth  trees:
I got me servants and maidens, and had servants born in my house; also I had great possessions of great and small cattle above all that were in Jerusalem before me:
I gathered me also  silver and  gold, and the peculiar treasure of kings and of the provinces: I gat me men singers and women singers, and the delights of the sons of men, as musical instruments, and that of all sorts.   Ecclesiastes 2:4-8

Wherefore I perceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion: for who shall bring him to see what shall be after him?   Ecclesiastes 3:22

Then I beheld all the work of  God, that a man cannot find out the work that is done under the  sun: because though a man labour to seek it out, yet he shall not find it; yea farther; though a wise man think to know it, yet shall he not be able to find it.   Ecclesiastes 8:17

But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.   Ephesians 4:12-16

Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.   Ephesians 4:19

Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.   Ephesians 4:28

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.   Ephesians 5:11

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my  heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.   Philippians 1:6, 7

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
For it is  God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.   Philippians 2:12, 13

Because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me.   Philippians 2:30

Beware of dogs, beware of  evil workers, beware of the concision.   Philippians 3:2

Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.   Philippians 3:21

That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of  God;
Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
In whom we have redemption through his  blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
Who is the image of the invisible  God, the firstborn of every creature:
For by him were all things created, that are in  heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.   Colossians 1:10-17

And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled
In the body of his  flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under  heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my  flesh for his body's sake, which is the church:
Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of  God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of  God;
Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
To whom  God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.   Colossians 1:21-29

Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of  God and our Father;
Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of  God.   1 Thessalonians 1:3, 4

For this cause also thank we  God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of  God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of  God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.   1 Thessalonians 2:13

And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;
That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.   1 Thessalonians 4:11, 12

And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves.   1 Thessalonians 5:13

Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our  God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:
That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our  God and the Lord Jesus Christ.   2 Thessalonians 1:11, 12

For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
Even him, whose coming is after the working of  Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.   2 Thessalonians 2:7-10

Comfort your  hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.   2 Thessalonians 2:17

For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.
Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own  bread.   2 Thessalonians 3:10-12

But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.   1 Timothy 2:10

This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.   1 Timothy 3:1

Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.   1 Timothy 5:10

Likewise also the good works of some are manifest beforehand; and they that are otherwise cannot be hid.   1 Timothy 5:25

That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.   1 Timothy 6:18, 19

Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.   2 Timothy 1:9-11

Study to shew thyself approved unto  God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.   2 Timothy 2:15

If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.   2 Timothy 2:21

That the man of  God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.   2 Timothy 3:17

But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.   2 Timothy 4:5

Alexander the coppersmith did me much  evil: the Lord reward him according to his works:
Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words.   2 Timothy 4:14, 15

And the Lord shall deliver me from every  evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.   2 Timothy 4:18

They profess that they know  God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.   Titus 1:16

In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,
Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no  evil thing to say of you.   Titus 2:7, 8

Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.   Titus 2:14

Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,
To speak  evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.   Titus 3:1, 2

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in  God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.   Titus 3:5-8

And let our's also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.   Titus 3:14

And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the  heavens are the works of thine hands:
They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a  garment;
And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.   Hebrews 1:10-12

Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:
Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.   Hebrews 2:7, 8

When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.   Hebrews 3:9

For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And  God did rest the seventh day from all his works.   Hebrews 4:3, 4

For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as  God did from his.   Hebrews 4:10

Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward  God,
Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.   Hebrews 6:1, 2

For  God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.   Hebrews 6:10

How much more shall the  blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to  God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living  God?

And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.   Hebrews 10:24, 25

Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.   Hebrews 13:21

Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.   James 1:3, 4

But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.   James 1:25

What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
Thou believest that there is one  God; thou doest well: the  devils also believe, and tremble.
But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed  God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of  God.
Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?
For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.   James 2:14-26

Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.   James 3:13

For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every  evil work.   James 3:16

And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:
Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as  silver and  gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
But with the precious  blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
Who by him do believe in  God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in  God.   1 Peter 1:17-21

Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify  God in the day of visitation.   1 Peter 2:12

Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were  evil, and his brother's righteous.   1 John 3:12

I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are  evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:
And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.
Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.   Revelation 2:2-5

I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of  Satan.   Revelation 2:9

I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.   Revelation 2:19

And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship  devils, and idols of  gold, and  silver, and  brass, and stone, and of  wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:
Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.   Revelation 9:20, 21

And I heard a voice from  heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.   Revelation 14:13

And they sing the song of Moses the servant of  God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord  God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.   Revelation 15:3

For they are the spirits of  devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of  God Almighty.   Revelation 16:14
