And he said, I will send thee a kid from the flock. And she said, Wilt thou give me a pledge, till thou send it?
And he said, What pledge shall I give thee? And she said, Thy signet, and thy bracelets, and thy staff that is in thine hand. And he gave it her, and came in unto her, and she conceived by him.   Genesis 38:16-18

And it came to pass about three months after, that it was told Judah, saying, Tamar thy daughter in  law hath played the harlot; and also, behold, she is with child by whoredom. And Judah said, Bring her forth, and let her be burnt.

Then Jethro, Moses' father in  law, took Zipporah, Moses' wife, after he had sent her back,
And her two sons; of which the name of the one was Gershom; for he said, I have been an alien in a strange land:
And the name of the other was Eliezer; for the  God of my father, said he, was mine help, and delivered me from the  sword of Pharaoh:
And Jethro, Moses' father in  law, came with his sons and his wife unto Moses into the wilderness, where he encamped at the mount of  God:
And he said unto Moses, I thy father in  law Jethro am come unto thee, and thy wife, and her two sons with her.

Then shall the priest command to take for him that is to be cleansed two birds alive and clean, and cedar  wood, and  scarlet, and hyssop:
And the priest shall command that one of the birds be killed in an earthen vessel over running  water:
As for the living bird, he shall take it, and the cedar  wood, and the  scarlet, and the hyssop, and shall dip them and the living bird in the  blood of the bird that was killed over the running  water:
And he shall sprinkle upon him that is to be cleansed from the leprosy seven times, and shall pronounce him clean, and shall let the living bird loose into the open  field.   Leviticus 14:2-7

And one shall  burn the heifer in his sight; her  skin, and her  flesh, and her  blood, with her  dung, shall he  burn:

Only the  gold, and the  silver, the  brass, the iron, the tin, and the lead,
Every thing that may abide the  fire, ye shall make it go through the  fire, and it shall be clean: nevertheless it shall be purified with the  water of separation: and all that abideth not the  fire ye shall make go through the  water.   Numbers 31:21-23

On this side Jordan, in the land of Moab, began Moses to declare this  law, saying,
The LORD our  God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:
Turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the Amorites, and unto all the places nigh thereunto, in the plain, in the hills, and in the vale, and in the south, and by the  sea side, to the land of the Canaanites, and unto Lebanon, unto the great  river, the  river Euphrates.   Deuteronomy 1:5-7

And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this  law, which I set before you this day?
Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy  heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons' sons;
Specially the day that thou stoodest before the LORD thy  God in Horeb, when the LORD said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.   Deuteronomy 4:8-10

And this is the  law which Moses set before the children of Israel:
These are the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which Moses spake unto the children of Israel, after they came forth out of Egypt.   Deuteronomy 4:44, 45

According to the sentence of the  law which they shall teach thee, and according to the judgment which they shall tell thee, thou shalt do: thou shalt not decline from the sentence which they shall show thee, to the right hand, nor to the left.   Deuteronomy 17:11

And it shall be, when he sitteth upon the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write him a copy of this  law in a book out of that which is before the priests the Levites:
And it shall be with him, and he shall read therein all the days of his life: that he may learn to fear the LORD his  God, to keep all the words of this  law and these statutes, to do them:
That his  heart be not lifted up above his brethren, and that he turn not aside from the commandment, to the right hand, or to the left: to the end that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he, and his children, in the midst of Israel.   Deuteronomy 17:18-20

And thou shalt write upon them all the words of this  law, when thou art passed over, that thou mayest go in unto the land which the LORD thy  God giveth thee, a land that floweth with  milk and  honey; as the LORD  God of thy fathers hath promised thee.   Deuteronomy 27:3

And thou shalt write upon the stones all the words of this  law very plainly.   Deuteronomy 27:8

Cursed be he that lieth with his mother in  law. And all the people shall say, Amen.   Deuteronomy 27:23

Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this  law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen.   Deuteronomy 27:26

If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this  law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY  GOD;
Then the LORD will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance.
Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee.
Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this  law, them will the LORD bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.   Deuteronomy 28:58-61

And the LORD shall separate him unto  evil out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant that are written in this book of the  law:
So that the generation to come of your children that shall rise up after you, and the stranger that shall come from a far land, shall say, when they see the plagues of that land, and the sicknesses which the LORD hath laid upon it;
And that the whole land thereof is brimstone, and salt, and burning, that it is not sown, nor beareth, nor any  grass groweth therein, like the overthrow of Sodom, and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim, which the LORD overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath:
Even all nations shall say, Wherefore hath the LORD done thus unto this land? what meaneth the  heat of this great anger?
Then men shall say, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD  God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them forth out of the land of Egypt:
For they went and served other  gods, and worshipped them,  gods whom they knew not, and whom he had not given unto them:
And the anger of the LORD was kindled against this land, to bring upon it all the curses that are written in this book:
And the LORD rooted them out of their land in anger, and in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day.
The secret things belong unto the LORD our  God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this  law.   Deuteronomy 29:21-29

If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy  God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the  law, and if thou turn unto the LORD thy  God with all thine  heart, and with all thy soul.   Deuteronomy 30:10

And Moses wrote this  law, and delivered it unto the priests the sons of Levi, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and unto all the elders of Israel.
And Moses commanded them, saying, At the end of every seven years, in the solemnity of the year of release, in the feast of tabernacles,
When all Israel is come to appear before the LORD thy  God in the place which he shall choose, thou shalt read this  law before all Israel in their hearing.
Gather the people together, men and women, and children, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear the LORD your  God, and observe to do all the words of this  law:
And that their children, which have not known any thing, may hear, and learn to fear the LORD your  God, as long as ye live in the land whither ye go over Jordan to possess it.   Deuteronomy 31:9-13

And it came to pass, when Moses had made an end of writing the words of this  law in a book, until they were finished,
That Moses commanded the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, saying,
Take this book of the  law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your  God, that it may be there for a witness against thee.   Deuteronomy 31:24-26

And he said unto them, Set your  hearts unto all the words which I testify among you this day, which ye shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this  law.   Deuteronomy 32:46

And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery  law for them.
Yea, he loved the people; all his saints are in thy hand: and they sat down at thy feet; every one shall receive of thy words.
Moses commanded us a  law, even the inheritance of the congregation of Jacob.   Deuteronomy 33:2-4

They shall teach Jacob thy judgments, and Israel thy  law: they shall put incense before thee, and whole burnt sacrifice upon thine altar.   Deuteronomy 33:10

Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the  law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.
This book of the  law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and  night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.   Joshua 1:7, 8

As Moses the servant of the LORD commanded the children of Israel, as it is written in the book of the  law of Moses, an altar of whole stones, over which no man hath lift up any iron: and they offered thereon burnt offerings unto the LORD, and sacrificed peace offerings.
And he wrote there upon the stones a copy of the  law of Moses, which he wrote in the presence of the children of Israel.
And all Israel, and their elders, and officers, and their judges, stood on this side the ark and on that side before the priests the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, as well the stranger, as he that was born among them; half of them over against mount Gerizim, and half of them over against mount Ebal; as Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded before, that they should bless the people of Israel.
And afterward he read all the words of the  law, the blessings and cursings, according to all that is written in the book of the  law.   Joshua 8:31-34

But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the  law, which Moses the servant of the LORD charged you, to love the LORD your  God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your  heart and with all your soul.   Joshua 22:5

Be ye therefore very courageous to keep and to do all that is written in the book of the  law of Moses, that ye turn not aside therefrom to the right hand or to the left;

But cleave unto the LORD your  God, as ye have done unto this day.   Joshua 23:6-8

And it came to pass on the fourth day, when they arose early in the morning, that he rose up to depart: and the damsel's father said unto his son in  law, Comfort thine  heart with a morsel of  bread, and afterward go your way.
And they sat down, and did eat and drink both of them together: for the damsel's father had said unto the man, Be content, I pray thee, and tarry all  night, and let thine  heart be merry.
And when the man rose up to depart, his father in  law urged him: therefore he lodged there again.
And he arose early in the morning on the fifth day to depart; and the damsel's father said, Comfort thine  heart, I pray thee. And they tarried until afternoon, and they did eat both of them.
And when the man rose up to depart, he, and his concubine, and his servant, his father in  law, the damsel's father, said unto him, Behold, now the day draweth toward evening, I pray you tarry all  night: behold, the day groweth to an end, lodge here, that thine  heart may be merry; and to morrow get you early on your way, that thou mayest go home.   Judges 19:4-9

Then she arose with her daughters in  law, that she might return from the country of Moab: for she had heard in the country of Moab how that the LORD had visited his people in giving them  bread.

And she took it up, and went into the city: and her mother in  law saw what she had gleaned: and she brought forth, and gave to her that she had reserved after she was sufficed.
And her mother in  law said unto her, Where hast thou gleaned to day? and where wroughtest thou? blessed be he that did take knowledge of thee. And she showed her mother in  law with whom she had wrought, and said, The man's name with whom I wrought to day is Boaz.
And Naomi said unto her daughter in  law, Blessed be he of the LORD, who hath not left off his kindness to the living and to the dead. And Naomi said unto her, The man is near of kin unto us, one of our next kinsmen.
And Ruth the Moabitess said, He said unto me also, Thou shalt keep fast by my young men, until they have ended all my harvest.
And Naomi said unto Ruth her daughter in  law, It is good, my daughter, that thou go out with his maidens, that they meet thee not in any other  field.
So she kept fast by the maidens of Boaz to glean unto the end of  barley harvest and of  wheat harvest; and dwelt with her mother in  law.   Ruth 2:18-23

Then Naomi her mother in  law said unto her, My daughter, shall I not seek rest for thee, that it may be well with thee?

But it came to pass at the time when Merab Saul's daughter should have been given to David, that she was given unto Adriel the Meholathite to wife.
And Michal Saul's daughter loved David: and they told Saul, and the thing pleased him.
And Saul said, I will give him her, that she may be a snare to him, and that the hand of the Philistines may be against him. Wherefore Saul said to David, Thou shalt this day be my son in  law in the one of the twain.
And Saul commanded his servants, saying, Commune with David secretly, and say, Behold, the king hath delight in thee, and all his servants love thee: now therefore be the king's son in  law.
And Saul's servants spake those words in the ears of David. And David said, Seemeth it to you a light thing to be a king's son in  law, seeing that I am a poor man, and lightly esteemed?
And the servants of Saul told him, saying, On this manner spake David.
And Saul said, Thus shall ye say to David, The king desireth not any dowry, but an hundred foreskins of the Philistines, to be avenged of the king's enemies. But Saul thought to make David fall by the hand of the Philistines.
And when his servants told David these words, it pleased David well to be the king's son in  law: and the days were not expired.
Wherefore David arose and went, he and his men, and slew of the Philistines two hundred men; and David brought their foreskins, and they gave them in full tale to the king, that he might be the king's son in  law. And Saul gave him Michal his daughter to wife.   1 Samuel 18:18-27

But the LORD, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt with great power and a stretched out arm, him shall ye fear, and him shall ye worship, and to him shall ye do sacrifice.

Artaxerxes, king of kings, unto Ezra the priest, a scribe of the  law of the  God of  heaven, perfect peace, and at such a time.
I make a decree, that all they of the people of Israel, and of his priests and Levites, in my realm, which are minded of their own freewill to go up to Jerusalem, go with thee.
Forasmuch as thou art sent of the king, and of his seven counsellors, to enquire concerning Judah and Jerusalem, according to the  law of thy  God which is in thine hand;
And to carry the  silver and  gold, which the king and his counsellors have freely offered unto the  God of Israel, whose habitation is in Jerusalem,
And all the  silver and  gold that thou canst find in all the province of Babylon, with the freewill offering of the people, and of the priests, offering willingly for the house of their  God which is in Jerusalem:

And all the people gathered themselves together as one man into the street that was before the  water gate; and they spake unto Ezra the scribe to bring the book of the  law of Moses, which the LORD had commanded to Israel.
And Ezra the priest brought the  law before the congregation both of men and women, and all that could hear with understanding, upon the first day of the seventh month.
And he read therein before the street that was before the  water gate from the morning until midday, before the men and the women, and those that could understand; and the ears of all the people were attentive unto the book of the  law.   Nehemiah 8:1-3

So they read in the book in the  law of  God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.
And Nehemiah, which is the Tirshatha, and Ezra the priest the scribe, and the Levites that taught the people, said unto all the people, This day is holy unto the LORD your  God; mourn not, nor weep. For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the  law.   Nehemiah 8:7-9

And on the second day were gathered together the chief of the fathers of all the people, the priests, and the Levites, unto Ezra the scribe, even to understand the words of the  law.
And they found written in the  law which the LORD had commanded by Moses, that the children of Israel should dwell in booths in the feast of the seventh month:
And that they should publish and proclaim in all their cities, and in Jerusalem, saying, Go forth unto the mount, and fetch  olive branches, and pine branches, and myrtle branches, and palm branches, and branches of thick  trees, to make booths, as it is written.   Nehemiah 8:13-15

And testifiedst against them, that thou mightest bring them again unto thy  law: yet they dealt proudly, and hearkened not unto thy commandments, but sinned against thy judgments, (which if a man do, he shall live in them;) and withdrew the shoulder, and hardened their neck, and would not hear.   Nehemiah 9:29

Neither have our kings, our princes, our priests, nor our fathers, kept thy  law, nor hearkened unto thy commandments and thy testimonies, wherewith thou didst testify against them.   Nehemiah 9:34

And the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the porters, the singers, the Nethinims, and all they that had separated themselves from the people of the lands unto the  law of  God, their wives, their sons, and their daughters, every one having knowledge, and having understanding;
They clave to their brethren, their nobles, and entered into a curse, and into an oath, to walk in God's  law, which was given by Moses the servant of  God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the LORD our Lord, and his judgments and his statutes;
And that we would not give our daughters unto the people of the land, not take their daughters for our sons:

And we cast the lots among the priests, the Levites, and the people, for the  wood offering, to bring it into the house of our  God, after the houses of our fathers, at times appointed year by year, to  burn upon the altar of the LORD our  God, as it is written in the  law:
And to bring the firstfruits of our ground, and the firstfruits of all fruit of all  trees, year by year, unto the house of the LORD:
Also the firstborn of our sons, and of our cattle, as it is written in the  law, and the firstlings of our herds and of our flocks, to bring to the house of our  God, unto the priests that minister in the house of our  God:
And that we should bring the firstfruits of our dough, and our offerings, and the fruit of all manner of  trees, of wine and of oil, unto the priests, to the chambers of the house of our  God; and the tithes of our ground unto the Levites, that the same Levites might have the tithes in all the cities of our tillage.   Nehemiah 10:34-37

And at that time were some appointed over the chambers for the treasures, for the offerings, for the firstfruits, and for the tithes, to gather into them out of the  fields of the cities the portions of the  law for the priests and Levites: for Judah rejoiced for the priests and for the Levites that waited.   Nehemiah 12:44

What shall we do unto the queen Vashti according to  law, because she hath not performed the commandment of the king Ahasuerus by the chamberlains?
And Memucan answered before the king and the princes, Vashti the queen hath not done wrong to the king only, but also to all the princes, and to all the people that are in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus.   Esther 1:13-16

All the king's servants, and the people of the king's provinces, do know, that whosoever, whether man or women, shall come unto the king into the inner court, who is not called, there is one  law of his to put him to death, except such to whom the king shall hold out the golden sceptre, that he may live: but I have not been called to come in unto the king these thirty days.   Esther 4:11

And might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation that set not their  heart aright, and whose spirit was not stedfast with  God.

For as many as have sinned without  law shall also perish without  law: and as many as have sinned in the  law shall be judged by the  law;
(For not the hearers of the  law are just before  God, but the doers of the  law shall be justified.
For when the Gentiles, which have not the  law, do by nature the things contained in the  law, these, having not the  law, are a  law unto themselves:
Which shew the work of the  law written in their  hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)
In the day when  God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the  law, and makest thy boast of  God,
And knowest his will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the  law;
And art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness,
An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledge and of the truth in the  law.   Romans 2:12-20

Thou that makest thy boast of the  law, through breaking the  law dishonourest thou  God?
For the name of  God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.
For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the  law: but if thou be a breaker of the  law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision.
Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the  law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?
And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the  law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the  law?
For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the  flesh:
But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the  heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of  God.   Romans 2:23-29

Now we know that what things soever the  law saith, it saith to them who are under the  law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before  God.
Therefore by the deeds of the  law there shall no  flesh be justified in his sight: for by the  law is the knowledge of sin.
But now the righteousness of  God without the  law is manifested, being witnessed by the  law and the prophets;
Even the righteousness of  God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of  God;
Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Whom  God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his  blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of  God;
To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what  law? of works? Nay: but by the  law of faith.
Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the  law.   Romans 3:19-28

Do we then make void the  law through faith?  God forbid: yea, we establish the  law.   Romans 3:31

For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the  law, but through the righteousness of faith.
For if they which are of the  law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:
Because the  law worketh wrath: for where no  law is, there is no transgression.
Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the  law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even  God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.   Romans 4:13-17

(For until the  law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no  law.   Romans 5:13

Moreover the  law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.   Romans 5:20, 21

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the  law, but under grace.
What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the  law, but under grace?  God forbid.   Romans 6:14, 15

Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the  law,) how that the  law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?
For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the  law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the  law of her husband.
So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that  law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the  law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto  God.
For when we were in the  flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the  law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
But now we are delivered from the  law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
What shall we say then? Is the  law sin?  God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the  law: for I had not known lust, except the  law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the  law sin was dead.
For I was alive without the  law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.   Romans 7:1-9

Wherefore the  law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
Was then that which is good made death unto me?  God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
For we know that the  law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the  law that it is good.   Romans 7:12-16

I find then a  law, that, when I would do good,  evil is present with me.
For I delight in the  law of  God after the inward man:
But I see another  law in my members, warring against the  law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the  law of sin which is in my members.
O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
I thank  God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the  law of  God; but with the  flesh the  law of sin.   Romans 7:21-25

For the  law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the  law of sin and death.
For what the  law could not do, in that it was weak through the  flesh,  God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful  flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the  flesh:
That the righteousness of the  law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the  flesh, but after the Spirit.   Romans 8:2-4

Because the carnal mind is enmity against  God: for it is not subject to the  law of  God, neither indeed can be.   Romans 8:7

Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the  law, and the service of  God, and the promises;
Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the  flesh Christ came, who is over all,  God blessed for ever. Amen.   Romans 9:4, 5

But Israel, which followed after the  law of righteousness, hath not attained to the  law of righteousness.
Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the  law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;
As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.   Romans 9:31-33

For Christ is the end of the  law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the  law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.   Romans 10:4, 5

Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the  law.
For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the  law.   Romans 13:8-10

Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to  law before the unjust, and not before the saints?
Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?
If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.
I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?
But brother goeth to  law with brother, and that before the unbelievers.
Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to  law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?
Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren.   1 Corinthians 6:1-8

The wife is bound by the  law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.   1 Corinthians 7:39

Say I these things as a man? or saith not the  law the same also?
For it is written in the  law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the  corn. Doth  God take care for oxen?
Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope.   1 Corinthians 9:8-10

And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the  law, as under the  law, that I might gain them that are under the  law;
To them that are without  law, as without  law, (being not without  law to  God, but under the  law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without  law.   1 Corinthians 9:20, 21

In the  law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord.   1 Corinthians 14:21

Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the  law.   1 Corinthians 14:34

The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the  law.   1 Corinthians 15:56

Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the  law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the  law: for by the works of the  law shall no  flesh be justified.   Galatians 2:16

For I through the  law am dead to the  law, that I might live unto  God.
I am crucified with Christ: neverthless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the  flesh I live by the faith of the Son of  God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
I do not frustrate the grace of  God: for if righteousness come by the  law, then Christ is dead in vain.   Galatians 2:19-21

This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the  law, or by the hearing of faith?
Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the  flesh?
Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain.
He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the  law, or by the hearing of faith?
Even as Abraham believed  God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.   Galatians 3:2-6

For as many as are of the works of the  law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the  law to do them.
But that no man is justified by the  law in the sight of  God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
And the  law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the  law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a  tree:
That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.   Galatians 3:10-14

And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of  God in Christ, the  law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.
For if the inheritance be of the  law, it is no more of promise: but  God gave it to Abraham by promise.
Wherefore then serveth the  law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.
Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but  God is one.
Is the  law then against the promises of  God?  God forbid: for if there had been a  law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the  law.
But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
But before faith came, we were kept under the  law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
Wherefore the  law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.   Galatians 3:17-24

But when the fulness of the time was come,  God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the  law,
To redeem them that were under the  law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.   Galatians 4:4, 5

Tell me, ye that desire to be under the  law, do ye not hear the  law?
For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.   Galatians 4:21, 22

For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole  law.
Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the  law; ye are fallen from grace.   Galatians 5:3, 4

For all the  law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.   Galatians 5:14

But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the  law.   Galatians 5:18

Meekness, temperance: against such there is no  law.   Galatians 5:23

Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the  law of Christ.   Galatians 6:2

For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the  law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your  flesh.   Galatians 6:13

Having abolished in his  flesh the enmity, even the  law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
And that he might reconcile both unto  God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.   Ephesians 2:15-17

Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the  law, a Pharisee;
Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the  law, blameless.   Philippians 3:5, 6

And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the  law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of  God by faith:
That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.   Philippians 3:9-11

Desiring to be teachers of the  law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.
But we know that the  law is good, if a man use it lawfully;
Knowing this, that the  law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
According to the glorious gospel of the blessed  God, which was committed to my trust.   1 Timothy 1:7-11

But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the  law; for they are unprofitable and vain.   Titus 3:9

And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the  law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:
But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.   Hebrews 7:5, 6

If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the  law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?
For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the  law.   Hebrews 7:11, 12

Who is made, not after the  law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.   Hebrews 7:16

For the  law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto  God.   Hebrews 7:19

For the  law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the  law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.   Hebrews 7:28

For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the  law:
Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of  God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.   Hebrews 8:4, 5

For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the  law, he took the  blood of calves and of goats, with  water, and  scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,
Saying, This is the  blood of the testament which  God hath enjoined unto you.
Moreover he sprinkled with  blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.
And almost all things are by the  law purged with  blood; and without shedding of  blood is no remission.   Hebrews 9:19-22

For the  law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.   Hebrews 10:1

Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the  law;
Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O  God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.   Hebrews 10:8, 9

He that despised Moses'  law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of  God, and hath counted the  blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.   Hebrews 10:28-30

But whoso looketh into the perfect  law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.   James 1:25

If ye fulfil the royal  law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the  law as transgressors.
For whosoever shall keep the whole  law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the  law.
So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the  law of liberty.   James 2:8-12

Speak not  evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh  evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh  evil of the  law, and judgeth the  law: but if thou judge the  law, thou art not a doer of the  law, but a judge.   James 4:11

Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the  law: for sin is the transgression of the  law.   1 John 3:4

Who wouldn't get frustrated, if they got pulled over by a police officer for speeding when no one is in sight for miles? I don't know of one person. Lots of people feel that to be ridiculous and injustice. Maybe it is ridiculous but if the police didn't hold to their word, that you would be pulled over for speeding, they would lose the respect they deserve. Some laws are enforced to bring a serious attitude to the issue. For example, stepping foot on a construction site is a felony. Why such a hard judgment on such a harmless action? Because the government wants to nip crime in the bud; no one wants their expensive equipment stolen. We need to uphold a submissive attitude toward the laws and the  law enforcers.

Every one from the president downward should be answerable to the  law.
